Community Chat¶
We are happy to share a community discussion site on the Matrix communication network. This allows Jetstream2 researchers and students to communicate easily with each other. While the discussion site is not an official support channel, Jetstream2 staff will participate during business hours and may answer questions found there.
There are many client choices, but we might suggest using Element via a web browser or app (available for iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and Linux).
Ticketing System¶
The ticketing system is the preferred mechanism for official support. Jetstream2 staff will do our best to answer your questions or concerns in a timely manner. There are several ways to submit a ticket and they all lead to the same place, so use whichever method is most convenient to you:
- Email help@jetstream-cloud.org
- Jetstream2 Contact Form
- Exosphere User Interface, by clicking the “Get Support” button - For issues pertaining to Jetstream2 instances, volumes, and other resources created using Exosphere.
- ACCESS Support, by selecting
Jetstream2
as the applicable resource.
Mailing List¶
The Jetstream2 mailing list can help you stay informed on system status and news. We use the mailing list to notify users about system outages and maintenance, as well as sending out our newsletter, The Jetstream CloudCast.
All JS2 researchers, educators, and students are automatically added to the Jetstream2 mailing list when they receive access to Jetstream2. You may also subscribe manually by emailing js2-users-l-subscribe@list.iu.edu or by contacting us to be added. Users may also opt-out at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email footer of any email sent using the mailing list, or by emailing js2-users-l-unsubscribe@list.iu.edu.
ACCESS Support and News¶
What Is ACCESS?¶
The NSF-funded program for advancing computational and data-intensive research – Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Coordination Ecosystem: Services & Support (ACCESS) – offers significant opportunities for community involvement. One of those is ensuring that requests for resource allocations meet the program’s requirements in careful merit reviews by a diverse group of reviewers.
The ACCESS website is: https://access-ci.org/
ACCESS Support¶
ACCESS issues (accounts, passwords, 2FA, allocations, etc) are best handled via the ACCESS support form: https://support.access-ci.org/open-a-ticket. Select “No” to the question “Does your problem involve an ACCESS Resource” if you think your question should be directed to ACCESS staff. Selecting Jetstream2
as the applicable ACCESS resource will forward your ticket to the Jetstream2 team.
